On 20 April, 2005 a covenant has been signed by M° Alessandro Tittarelli, the person in charge of "SHIN SHIN AIKIDO" and the President of the CSEN (National Educational Sporting Centre), Professor Francesco Proietti, and by the person responsible for the martial arts sector of CSEN, Master Giuliano Clinori, to ratify and accept the membership of SHIN SHIN AIKIDO under the umbrella of the Martial Arts Sector of CSEN. The nominated secretary of the new born section, Michele Marolla, was also present at the signing of the covenant.

SHIN SHIN AIKIDO (or IWAMA SHIN SHIN AIKI SHURENKAI ITALIA, or AIKIDO DENTO IWAMA RYU ITALIA) was born on 8 January, 2005, by the initiative of Masters Tittarelli and Marolla, who were determinated to spread the principles and the teachings of Aikido Founder, "O-Sensei Morihei Ueshiba" in Italy. The traditions were being carried on by one of the founder's direct and most prestigious disciples, Morihiro Saito Shihan. Now, after his death, the responsibility of carrying od the traditions was taken up by his son Hitohiro Saito Sensei, the Kai-cho (President) of the International Association IWAMA SHIN SHIN AIKI SHURENKAI, which he founded on 21 February, 2004.

The "CSEN", recognises the rights of "IWAMA SHIN SHIN AIKI SHURENKAI ITALIA" as:

• - Autonomy of programs and technical grades:
• - Autonomy in the organization of the stages and courses, in line with the CSEN National Calendar.
• - Autorization of direct request of diplomas up to the third Dan, Budopass and Technical Teachers' membership cards. Beyond the third Dan, the grades may be conferred during national stages or through direct request by Master Tittarelli to the CSEN Delegate ( Master Clinori ).
• - Advertising of the group's activities though CSEN websites and magazines.

Dojos and their members, who have joined the CSEN sector, are granted:

• - Administrative, insurance and logistic support though CSEN.
• - Updated technical Program according to the line of teaching of Kai-cho Saito Hitohiro.
• - Technical and personal advice based on the needs of the member Dojos.
• - Possibility of receving "SHIN SHIN AIKIDO" grades and qualifications, conferred by both CSEN and Kai-cho Saito Hitohiro (through Master Alessandro Tittarelli).
• - Possibility to participate in the group's national and local activities, organized together with CSEN.

The first National Seminar was held in the Centro Ge. Tur. in Lignano Sabbiadoro (UD) on the 22 and 23 October, 2005. During the seminar, held by Alessandro Tittarelli Sensei, there was a discussion regarding the first 9 months of the group's activities. Projects were discussed along with future plans for the technical, moral and numerical growth of SHIN SHIN AIKIDO in Italy.
