Inauguaration Ceremony IWAMA SHIN SHIN AIKI SHURENKAI

On 21st February, 2004, the new association founded by Hitohiro Saito Sensei was inaugurated with the name of "IWAMA SHIN SHIN AIKI SHURENKAI".

At 10 a.m. an Aikido demonstration was held in the “Tanrenkan” Dojo in Iwama with the participation of many students who came not only from different parts of Japan but also from America, Australia, New Zealand and Europe together with a large group of people, including town and regional officials.


At the end of the demonstration, at approximately 11 a.m., guests were taken by bus to a very large hall in the nearby town of Tomobe.

At 12 p.m., in front of an audience of over 350 seated people, the ceremony started after a presentation speech by Kai-cho Saito Hitohiro and several other speakers.  After the traditional breaking of the Saké barrel, there was a Sushi and Sashimi buffet which ended at 3.30 p.m.

The guests were then taken back to Iwama by bus and a second party was held inside the “Tanrenkan” until late evening.
